Joseph Mikhael MD, MEd, FRCPC
Chief Medical Officer of the International Myeloma Foundation
Dr. Mikhael is a highly accomplished professor and researcher specializing in plasma cell disorders, including multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, and Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia. He holds significant positions, serving as a Professor at TGen, City of Hope Cancer Center, Chief Medical Officer of the International Myeloma Foundation (IMF), and Director of Myeloma Research at Honor Health Research Institute.
Dr. Mikhael is a prolific author with over 200 peer-reviewed articles and leads numerous clinical trials, primarily focusing on relapsed multiple myeloma. He is deeply committed to health equity, heading diversity initiatives for the IMF and TGen, and actively mentors junior faculty globally. Additionally, Dr. Mikhael dedicates considerable time to fostering international collaborations and improving access to novel treatments in developing countries.
